Well, there aren't 42 days in August so I wonder if maybe the 11th would be suitable for this?

ESPN is eliminating Baseball Tonight for the 2019 season.

Well, I haven't watch Baseball Tonight in years.

I'm done fighting against the tide for people to watch baseball when they don't want to. The game isn't for those with a short attention span and trying to appeal to them has the possibility of introducing changes that could alter the fabric of the game (pitch clock).

If I need highlights I may take a peek at MLB Tonight or, most likely, turn Quick Pitch in mute.

I gave up on ESPN in general after 2013. MLB Network all day since then.

Amazing memories watching Baseball Tonight but I haven't been watching since MLB Network began.

Even still, **** ESPN for this. They have been "pretending" to care about baseball the past decade and it's been really sad to watch.

I guess at least they're not pretending anymore. You can look at ratings all you want, but frankly they don't give the sport a chance anymore.

I watched Baseball Tonight from time to time. I'm an Adnan Virk fan, and I think he did a really good job with the show, despite his tendency to get a little over-excited. It'll be interesting to see what happens to him at ESPN now.

I do remember the days of the organ before highlights with Ravech, Kirkjan, HR and Peter Gammons. But MLB Network is a mainstay, they just blew away ESPN's coverage. I'll always remember game 162 in the 2011 season, best night of regular season baseball I ever watched.

The only thing I'll continue to scream about is replaying old classic games...I'd make it an 8pm Sunday game to rival ESPN titled Pasttime in Primetime.

I haven't watched in years either but ESPN dropping BBTN is not a good thing. Less coverage of our beloved sport is not good.

                        It would.

                        August has 31 days. 42-31 = 11. It's only fitting.

Nah...ESPN would rather show 6 hours per day of NFL coverage along with various hot takes than its current 5 hours.

Back to Padres brown. These are pretty much what's been being shown to focus groups in the area

                              Beautiful.

Baseball jerseys need more earth tones and less blues and reds.

I'd prefer a more direct link back to the '84 look but I can understand the need to update and surprisingly the pinstripes look good in brown and gold. Those are NIIIICE uniforms.

Virk still does a lot of college football so I think he's still got some work there.
