I'll agree with the first part but um, I hate to break it to you, but a lot of the political/social commentary (and even then it was under the rubric of commentary/editorial which is far different than news and game commentary) which was completely blown out of proportions. Even so, they've pretty much stopped doing that since current president Jimmy Pittaro took over in March of last year.
Your talking point in that area is as stale as moldy bread.

BTW - I just caught up on Dan Shaughnessy's argument for why he doesn't think Schilling is in the HOF; he pointed out that Catfish Hunter isn't in the HOF, so Schilling shouldn't be in based on his post-season record. Uhm...last I checked, Catfish is very much a Hall of Famer. Hmm, I want to like it but something seems off.
