I told my wife the other day that this would happen. We got married in 17 and haven't been on our honeymoon yet, planning for 3 weeks in Japan in july. We wanted to go last year but had some problems selling our house so we pushes it off to this year. We got pretty far along in the planning process this year and then found out the trails on mt Fuji were closed at the top due to some damage and might not be ready by the time we went. So, we pushed it off again to 2021 this time (didnt want to go during the Olympics next year). So I told her Atlanta would probably get the 2021 AS game since that would be in July.

Was thinking, this is an important story to cover and it should be covered and it has. But is this what we (baseball) have become? Are we 1 step above hockey (mostly covered when there's a fight). God forbid if ESPN were ever to loose the MLB rights.

I mean, a 4 year old girl could've died last night, and the entire thing could've been avoided with expanded netting.

But you're right, she should've been paying attention to the ball coming towards her at 90+ mph.
