How bout that Rangers Pitching throught the first 5 games!

I'm sure they'll come back down to earth pretty soon here. Oh well, I'll enjoy being over .500 while it lasts.

Kenny Rogers is old, but he's still a quality pitcher.
And supposedly Chan Ho Park has regained his velocity and the Rangers are expecting him to have a comeback season.

Their young hitters have looked good, also. Nix is hitting on the road which is coming as a shock to many and Tex is hitting everything. If Blalock can build on last season and Soriano has another 35-35 season then they won't have to worry at all about the offense. I think RA Dickey is a better pitcher than he gets credit for, and if Park rebounds this could be an OK rotation. But in that division pitching is an overall strength, so it's still not going to cut it. If they were in the Central they woulld be contending for the playoffs, but being stuck out West really hurts them.

being in the central sure would help, but tom hicks values playing the Astros every year, over being in the Central, the biggest mistake he's made yet.

anyway, their pitching hass been surprising. At one point last night, they had the lowest era and the highest BA.

There's no way they're going to contend but it's a nice thing to at least think about.

RA Dickey is and has been my favorite Ranger pitcher since he came up.

Well, Chan-Ho Park got his butt whipped today, so maybe they're on the way back down.
