Questec is horrible
That BJays-Sox series was a very good series, but it has to be one of the worst called games i've ever seen during a bluejays game. The calls were so inconsistent.outside corner pitches 3 inches off the plate would be called stikes for RSox pitchers and balls for Blue jays pitchers and vice versa.Same thing yesterday with the Halladay-Pedro matchup.Hopefully MLB gets rid of that garbage.Tags: None -

I thought Questec was just stuff that tracked the pitches accurately, and the umps were making whatever calls you're talking about...correct me if i'm wrong, I didn't think Questec had any impact on games, just on rating and teaching umpires...Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818 -

I agree with you in that the Questec system is horrible. But I think the bigger thing that needs to be addressed is the umpires strike zones. How is it that every umpire in the league has a different strike zone, and their "interpretation of it". Now granted, I understand that everyone has a little different plane of vision, but some guys strike zones are drastically different.
If machines could "umpire games", I'd be all for it.Comment

You got it right. But even umpires themselves admitted to calling a much different game when Questec was in play. Just ask Tom Glavine. His rational for his poor performance at home last year was that Shea was one of the stadiums that had Questec installed.Comment

To me, Questec itself isn't the problem, just that the MLB isn't dealing with umpires right. They've got to get a way where it's more consistant, I think the MLB doesn't like when each single Home Plate ump has a different strike zone interpretation
the MLB isn't interpreting the data and passing it to Umps right, now the umps are scared of Questec and allowing it to dramatically change their callsNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

How many stadiums still don't have it installed?
That's the problem right there. It needs to be in every park, or no parks.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment
