I did think it was hilarious that the pitcher, catcher, and even the batter started leaving.

I wasn't up and watching TV at that hour but........How is that not a strike? What a brutal umpire!

Anywho i'm excited about tonight as it's the home opener and McGowan gets his shot with (hopefully) a full season as a starter. Oh and there's some dude named Tanaka who's making his debut.

I wasn't up and watching TV at that hour but........How is that not a strike? What a brutal umpire!

I obviously think it's a strike as well, but I think that Pitch Tracker showed it to be a lot lower in the zone than it should have been. I really think that hit the top of the zone when it crossed the front of the plate. Should be a dead-ringer for a strike, but if anyone asks the umpire where that missed, he would say it missed up.

Lots of empty seats for the Cubs home opener.

And the wind is blowing straight out it looks like..

And Sandberg throwing out the first pitch with other Cubs' HOFers. It's weird seeing him in anything other than a Cubs uniform

It's still pretty surreal to see him in a Phils uniform. I wasn't born when the trade happened by my Dad always rants about it.

Wood is throwing way too many pitches, even if the Phils cannot get to him he'll be nearing 100 by the mid 5th.
