Yea, I was half way kidding, I'd be obviously ecstatic if he turned into another Darvish. But I was impressed, 7 innings of work, 8k's, and only 2 er's. Very nice start for a potentially troubled rotation.

Not sure though i've noticed so far that we've gotten the game that is "for most viewers" so i'm guessing Pirates/Cards.

I would guess the Nats, since you're closer to DC than St. Louis.

Weekend afternoon home game...though makes no difference cause roof is still closed and won't be open for another month!

Speaking of which....Never realized that some people actually spend more on things other than tickets for a game when going to a game. Parking + slice of pizza + can of (soda)pop would total about $35. Add in beer and it'd be over $45. Parking for games suck though, cause some places that are blocks away, charge over $20 to park(some refuse to even tell you the price until you actually go to park), driving around enough though and you can find some "good quality" places to park. I remember finding an underground parking place a few years ago that was like a third of the price of a regular parking lot,and it was actually closer too.

That was an interesting challenge there by the Yankees. It was clear Cervelli was out but they were challenging that Thole was blocking the plate. I'm sure you'll all see this on MLB-N. It's clear Thole gave Cervelli a lane to slide.

Another home run for Chase Utley. He is swinging that bat great right now. 8 hits in his first 5 games.

Wow R.A. Dickey had his knuckle ball going today! He looked very impressive out there today as both his soft and hard knuckleball were on point. The Jays offense is a bit distressing but at least they made pulp out of Phelps in the 8th with a couple HRs.

The Jays better do the smart thing and leave the roof closed during games later on in the season when he pitches. He's pitched so much better in closed roof games, so he really needs to continue doing so. I'm sure Jays and their fans would rather a closed roof game with good performance from Dickey over open roof game and him allowing home runs.
