    Bonds first man to....

    be intentionally walked 4 times in one game against the Marlins yesterday.

    Jack McKeon just refused to let this man beat them.

          This is absolutely ridiculous. Bonds should take his bats in the dugout. They'd probably still intentionally walk him.

            This is absolutely ridiculous. Bonds should take his bats in the dugout. They'd probably still intentionally walk him.

                No, Sabean should assemble a better offense so that Bonds would get pitches. I would walk him every time too with Alfonzo batting behind him.

                      Yeah...that's definitely part of the problem. Why pitch to a guy who can actually hit when you can strand him at first?

                            Actually, that's not true. Last year (or two years ago) in San Diego, he got intentionally walked 4 or 5 times in the game. I remember that he got walked 5 times, and at least 4 were intentional. But, the last one was in the 10th or 11th inning or something.

                            The record that he had just achieved yesterday was most intentional walks in a 9 inning game. He's had at least 4 in a game before.
