Re: Bonds first man to....
This is absolutely ridiculous. Bonds should take his bats in the dugout. They'd probably still intentionally walk him."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

No, Sabean should assemble a better offense so that Bonds would get pitches. I would walk him every time too with Alfonzo batting behind him.Comment

Yeah...that's definitely part of the problem. Why pitch to a guy who can actually hit when you can strand him at first?“In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush. We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore. If this is evolution, I believe that in twelve years, we'll be voting for plants.” - Lewis BlackComment

Actually, that's not true. Last year (or two years ago) in San Diego, he got intentionally walked 4 or 5 times in the game. I remember that he got walked 5 times, and at least 4 were intentional. But, the last one was in the 10th or 11th inning or something.
The record that he had just achieved yesterday was most intentional walks in a 9 inning game. He's had at least 4 in a game before.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
