The Ballpark in Arlington is no longer......

It's now, AmeriQuest Field at Arlington. That's right, Tom Hicks has sold the naming rights to AmeriQuest "Bad Credit, Ok!" How could they not at least kept "Ballpark" in the name? These naming rights are ridiculous.

I hate these names. One day we'll be hearing:

    Microsoft Yankee Stadium
    Nike Fenway Park
    Pepsi Wrigley Field

It should just be ads, c'mon, be more creative with naming and stop letting companies put their name on ballparks, Petco Park? SBC Park? Minute Maid? Jeez...

But they did an excellent job on Cincy's new park. "The Great American Ballpark." Great name. Never would I have suspected that it's named after an insurance company.

right. it should be 'ameriquest field, at the ballpark in arlington'. But I guess Ameriquest didn't want that.

I'm still going to call it the ballpark. And everyone around here still will.

Heck, I still call houston's 'enron',
