Someone put Nomar as a lock? PFFT! He's a very good SS but I don't see him being HOF quality just yet.

Most of the people I would list are already there but I wanted to say this about Edgar Martinez, he'll get in based on being a DH. He'll be the first true DH to ever be in the HOF and I think he deserves it. The only guy who is even close to Martinez in terms of being a true DH was Harold Baines but he played a lot of years in the field so scratch that.

it'll be interesting to look at this list 20 years from now...I know in the late 80's I'd say Jack Morris would be a lock, but now he's not getting in...Baseball's HOF is very stingy

Jack Morris will be a HOFer 20 yrs from now via the veterans comittee. (I think they still have that right?) If he never goes to the Hall then that would be a shame because I think he had a HOF career.

Craig Biggio is by no means a lock for the hall. His numbers are good, but they definitely aren't great.

Dude do you even know what the term lock meens? It meens for sure or without a doubt! None of the players mentioned on you so called locks list are locks for the hall of fame!
You really must not know much about baseball at all. A lock would be someone that could retire right now and be a first ballot hall of famer, not one guy on your list would make the hall right now based on what they have done so far!

I would say Maddux is a stone cold lock. Jeter is as close to a lock as you can get. Hoffman is pretty close to a lock as well. His numbers are right up there with Eck, and he still has the highest save percentage of all time last I checked. With him being a closer though he may have to wait a few years.
