Re: Todd Ziele for All-Star
We NEED to get at least one more bat. Zeile alone has won 2 straight game for us. That just doesn't confort me at all. Hey at least we are keeping up.
Go Metsssssssss!Comment

Re: Todd Ziele for All-Star
I'm the opposite. The shear fact that someone very unexpected is delivering in the clutch makes me feel a lot better. We need another starter before we need another bat.
Anyone think that the NL East might be the best race when all is said and done?Comment

Re: Todd Ziele for All-Star
Zeile is pretty much carrying them right now. Its obvious that the entire team looks up to him, and he is really the leader of that team (even moreso than Piazza/Leiter/Franco) at this point. Reyes is done, so I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for him to return. I honestly think that the NL East is so even this year, that the Mets can make a run if they pick up a good starting pitcher. A bat would be nice, but a pitcher would be better. Trachsel/Leiter/Glavine have been great thus far, but the back end is extremely bad (Matt Ginter!?!?!?), and needs shoring up.Comment

Just to name a few.Comment
