Batista, Lilly, Anderson or May would not command much in the way of top prospects, Livan is a possibility as well, since that move would be more for the Expos to free up some cash to try and re-sign Orlando Cabrera.

Didn't they just re-sign Livian at the beginning of the season to a multi-year extension? I don't see the Expos dealing him anyway. I think Benson is the most available, as the pirates are desparate to unload him.

            I hear you....

            Again, "maybe" Livan Hernandez.

Benson could come w/o giving up that much, so would Jennings and Reuter.

Estes? Ugh... Mofo couldn't even plunk Clemens when he batted at Shea a couple of years ago.

Yeah, he hit a homer off him instead.

Benson is putrid. I know Peterson can work wonders, but Benson has not shown anything that even resembles being worthy of the #1 overall pick. I'd much rather go after Zito; his stats are mediocre so far this year, he's probably the last choice of the Big 3 to be resigned, and he has shown a desire to work with Rick Peterson again. The only problem is Beane is going to be asking for a lot.
