        Remember when Trout was "slumping"?

Checklist for a 2014 Braves game:
          - Crappy offense; check.
          - Crappy relief pitching; check.
          - Crappy defense; check.
          - Hearing how brilliant Frank Wren is; priceless.

The Phillies bullpen, which was one of their weaknesses to start the season, has quickly become a major strength. Awesome to see. Hope they keep this momentum going into tomorrow against the Braves and into the 4 game series with the Cardinals.

The HP umpire in the Jays/Yanks game had the lowest strike zone i've seen in a long time. Tanaka was getting strike calls on balls that were TOTALLY out of the strike zone. It was pretty damn infuriating. A pitcher like Tanaka DOESN'T need any help.

Regardless, he and the Yankees kept the Jays down and won this one.

Reds bullpen once again proves W/L for pitchers is meaningless. Another solid outing for Cueto

Obp has caught on finally. Wins need to go away and be replaced by Quality Starts or something.

They also need to rewrite the rules on sac bunts. If you attempt a push or drag bunt it's not a sacrifice.

                      Also, admit Pete Rose.

The Quality Start is one of the most bogus stats in baseball…6 IP with 3 ER? A guy who goes 6 innings with a 4.50 ERA is a #4 starter….

Also, the official scorer is supposed determine if the bunter is attempting to drag/push now and not award a sacrifice.

I don't agree with the sac bunts thing (moving a runner via bunt is moving a runner via bunt.. they don't take away the hit if you beat out a sacrifice), but on the sacrifice-talk I'd like to see RBI groundouts treated the same as sacrifice flies.

Regarding QS, that's why I said "or something". You'd still prefer W/L?

Supposed to but I've never once seen a batter not get credit for a sacrifice when obviously trying for a basehit.

The D'Backs intentionally plunked Ryan Braun to load the bases. On the next pitch, Jonathan Lucroy hit a grand slam.

                                Losers.
