Re: 6/16 - 6/22 Game Discussion Thread
I forget where I read it, but the number of guys throwing 95mph + that have had Tommy John are scary. MLB really needs to look into it with so many young pitchers and big names going down.Comment

Re: 6/16 - 6/22 Game Discussion Thread
Seriously, what a great comeback by the Blue Jays. After that 8 run inning they beat the Reds like a drum to the tune of 14-1 and former Red Edwin Encarnacion had a career night with 2 3-run HRs.
They also made Chapman look not so scary which is a feat upon itself from what i've seen of that guy.
He and DeRosa are really supportive of the Jays. It's nice to see a couple former Jays players showing some love for the team despite it being the cool thing to be skeptical about them.Last edited by SPTO; 06-20-2014, 10:30 PM.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I wish they'd rerun an editing MLB tonight for game recaps instead of quick pitch all night. Better yet, alternate the two shows so Heidi Watney gets airtime too. Also Plesac needs his own show, dump that Russo mad dog high heat guy.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

I enjoy DeRosa too and the channel is way better now without Williams. The only genuine support the A's get is Matty V but he's rarely on during the season since he broadcast games. I guess Chris Rose says he won't doubt the A's anymore but that's not worth much.

I do agree with you though that there should be some edited MLB Tonight show or something instead of Quick Pitch all night and all morning. I thought the morning show they had during the offseason was a good idea and wouldn't be opposed to an in-season version of that.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Eh, I actually like Chris Russo, if you peel back the loud abrasiveness of his presentation he actually has some opinions and knowledge unlike his former radio partner Mike Francesca.

I liked that morning show too and wasn't happy to see it replaced by high heat. It was just so much more later date back. At least we're not stuck watching ESPN for baseball stuff.
Edit: Doolittle gets a couple more strikes outs in tonight's save pushing his K/BB to 50:1Last edited by Mabster; 06-21-2014, 12:34 AM.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: 6/16 - 6/22 Game Discussion Thread
Complete game from A.J. Burnett for the Phillies last night. Phillies have won 5 straight and 9 of their last 11 and are now only 3 1/2 games out of first place. With a string of 14 division games after this Cardinals series, now is the time for the Phillies to continue to be hot. No one is taking control of the NL East. Marlins have come back to Earth, and the Braves and Nationals have been nothing but mediocre at best. Poor division all around.Comment
