I'm a Cardinals fan and I still love that trade. I'll take a World Series in exchange for Colby Rasmus every time. Haha

I still think you guys would have won with Colby. I'm happy with our side. 90% cause of his dad. He stopped meddling and now he's just a giant troll, it's hilarious.

Matt Thornton officially traded to the Nationals. Still waiting on the piece going to the Yankees.

Jim Johnson signed by the Tigers

I thought that I read somewhere that Matt Thornton was a waiver claim...

Thornton was claimed on waivers, and thus can be traded to the team that claimed him.

Low risk move to pick up Johnson. Wouldn't have minded claiming Thornton either. Detroit is a closer graveyard.

Rich Hill called up to take Thornton's place.

Both Cole Hamels and Marlon Byrd were claimed of revocable waivers today.

Both by unnamed teams. Yankees probably on Byrd, and Hamels could be anyone (hopefully BOS).

With Hamels I'd say the Dodgers, Angels, or Giants.

I agree on Byrd and the Yankees. Outside chance it could be Seattle.

Sounds like it's the Cubs that claimed Hamels.

Pestano is gonna be stellar there. Cleveland's FO has a reputation of being very smart but with how they've handled Salazar and this, they make some moves that I can't really explain.
