If there is the cover boy is Brandon Larson. Crushes AAA pitching, hits close to .400, with 40 hrs a season at AAA, yet gets to the Majors and can't hit his weight!

I know that hurt you to say that and I respect you for being honest. Now I too will be honest. I'm not so sure the Cubs are gonna be the team in the NL central this year either. They got the 'stank' on them so far. They're blaming the media and the fans which is never a good sign.

Leave poor Corey alone, don't boo Joe Borowski. Ugh! How 'bout be a man and perform at your job. People that work for a living don't have much sympathy for remarks like this. The simple fact is the Cubs miss Sammy more than anyone wants to admit. His naysayers have seen life without him and it's not good. He's a player that allows the other players in the lineup to relax and play their 'role.'

It's a LONG season and anything can still happen, but this team needs to get it's [censored] on the road, quit bitching and produce, or we will be watching somebody else in October.

They offense is very good but you can't hide your pitching problems forever, so don't hurt yourself patting the A's on the back.

pitching problems? in my opinion, as an A's fan, i would say that the good batting for the a's this series mightve been a fluke if anything. things happen my friend, and if anything our weakness is the opposite of out pitching. and im not talking about just zito, hudson, and mulder. those three started off on the wrong foot and now every time hudson and mulder pitch you know its a for sure win. but lets not forget redman and harden: harden had 8 strikeouts last night and he pretty much has over 5 K's every game he starts. he pitched a 1 hitter through five innings till he had a bad 6th. redman has been pitching great lately too. our relievers have been saving some big games that the starters left off bad for em, and i respect em all. especially arthur rhodes who was pitching HORRIBLE early in the year, now he had a streak of convincing saves that show he's back on track. along with the whole a's pitching staff. i live with a cubs fan and i respect the team, the a's and cubs might have the two most amazing starting pitching staff in baseball, its just a shame that injuries have to hold the cubbies back. but if anything, what i SHOULD be worrying about is our batting, because sometimes our batters go on some bad streaks. well the a's play the cubs in a week at wrigley field, so i cant wait to see how we'll hold up against these NL teams on the road.
