            Re: Autographs

Roberto Clemente, Willie Stargell and Bill Mazeroski (only met Mazeroski). Clemente and Stargell's autographs were present's from my Uncle how knows how much I like baseball.

Many Pirates from the 1991-1992 team. My family knew the trainer of the Pirates back then and I got to go down to the runway outside the players lockerroom a couple times for autographs. Met Bonds, Van Slyke, Bonilla etc... Only Bonds and Van Slyke were the only two who wouldn't sign.

Now that I'm older (28) I won't ask for autographs. There's just something not right about a grown man asking another man for an autograph.

Autographed balls: 1982 Cards, Willie Mays, Phil Niekro, Tony Perez, Orlando Cepeda, Enos Slaughter, Pete Rose, and Bob Feller

Mays, Rose, and Cepeda were in person at the 2002 Cooperstown Induction weekend. The rest, except for the '82 ball, were bought at shops in Cooperstown.

I have a baseball collection one for each mlb team. My opinion to get the "full" tickets value, I like to go down a couple hours before gametime and watch batting practice. While I watch batting practice, I'll get autographs from the visiting and home teams on their logoed baseball. On my sons wall I have them all on a baseball display case. Some of the baseballs are filled with autographs. I hope someday he will appreciate the time spent getting those and carry on the tradition.
