I have a baseball collection one for each mlb team. My opinion to get the "full" tickets value, I like to go down a couple hours before gametime and watch batting practice. While I watch batting practice, I'll get autographs from the visiting and home teams on their logoed baseball. On my sons wall I have them all on a baseball display case. Some of the baseballs are filled with autographs. I hope someday he will appreciate the time spent getting those and carry on the tradition.

      Re: Autographs

Nothing really special, just a few though. I'll just list the ones I got in person, they mean a lot more to me.

Ball: Jerome Williams, Pedro Feliz, Kurt Ainsworth

Bat: A bunch of Giants from Spring Training in 95', Matt Williams, Dusty, Robbie Thompson...

Spring Training has always been the best place for me to get autographs. As well as when I follow the team on the road. When my team's at home, there are tons of people trying to get autographs, so it's harder to get up close. Also since they have a game to play, some are less likely to come over. When I was in Colorado though, less Giant fans there, so it's easier to get up close to the dugout.

I found an autographed Tony Gwynn baseball almost a year ago.

I got all these from Spring Training games earlier this year: Moises Alou, Barry Zito, Alfonso Soriano, Tim Salmon, Laynce Nix, and Rusty Greer.

My baseball coach got me a Rusty Greer (I have two Greers now) as well as one from Hall of Famer Ferguson Jenkins.

My dad got these for me at Spring Training games:
Mark Teixeira, Mike Lamb, and Chuck Finley.

I also have a ball signed by former Rangers head coach Johnny Oates, as well as one by Padres manager Bruce Bochy.

I have a ball that has about 10 autographs from the Padres. I know Phil Nevin's is on there, but I was pretty young when I got it, so I really don't know which other autographs are on the ball. I do know that a ton of guys signed my ball (since I have 10 autographs on it), but that Brett Boone was one of the only one's who completely ignored everyone.

BTW- The onle one's I didn't meet in person were Ferguson Jenkins, Johnny Oates, and the ones my dad got me (Teixeira, Lamb, and Finley).
