Gritty comeback by the Fightins' last night. This Giles kid has the potential to be something. If he makes his off speed stuff even nastier to go with his heat, there will be no need for Papelbon. Of course, one needs to get to a save situation to get one a save.

Brewers have beaten top level pitching a lot this year. Samardja twice, Strasburg twice, Greinke twice, Wainwright, David Price, Kershaw if they hold on.

If the real A's can't get it done, I'm going to get it done in MLB the Show. That will be my World Series.

Listening to these radio post game shows for the past few weeks, a lot of callers are saying not to panic. The problem with that is if the A's can't get it done in the regular season against good pitching, what's the likelihood of them getting it done during the playoffs against top aces. Has the A's offense ever shown up during the playoffs?

The A's need to go into these games, and the rest of the season with a playoff competitive mindset.

Pirates finding all sorts of ways to loose now, a four game streak. At least there is good news in that Cole and Cutch will be back this week.
