They're using led flashlights, cell phone screens, and camera flashes strobing. They're no way strong enough to blind from the stands. When you get many fans in a section doing it I'd think it's just distracting. Then again maybe not since the batters eyes are on the pitcher and batting eye. Not much different then those clapper sticks they used to give out there I guess.

Nobody is watching this game on MLB Network?

I wanted to hear some non biased opinion on that interference call just now.

      A's protesting the game.

Here it is. Chopper, not a pop up like it may look. Interference was called on the pitcher.

So the obstruction was called on Moss, even though Aybar blatantly ran out of the base path into Otero and he has a clear path to the right. In picture form:

Yup. Set up perfectly so Gibson can say in his judgement Moss wasn't attempting to field the ball (which obviously he was) and that'll be that. Can't protest a judgment call.

Even though there is zero contact between Aybar and Moss and he doesn't obstruct at all. Makes complete sense.

Oh well, gotta go get the next three.

Two gems from Chip Carey tonight:

"The outcome of tonight's game will depend on how many runs each team scores." - Yes, as opposed to how many touchdowns are scored.

"Barring a major collapse the Marlins won't be a 100 loss team again this year."

He just said this about a 65 win team…so unless more games are added to the schedule I'd say it's a safe bet they won't lose 100.

I'm liking this Soler kid. His 2nd homer tonight was smacked. It's pretty fun to watch.

                        Soler and Baez both.

Baez took Pat Neshek to the gap for a 2 RBI double as well. Neshek is one of the tougher RHP specialists in baseball. Between that and taking an elevated 102 mph Aroldis Chapman fastball to the warning track in Cincinnati earlier this week, this kid is showing some serious flashes of his talent. Only flashes though.

Talk about full effort. Can't give more then that.
Hopefully just knocked the breath out and doesn't aggravate his neck injury.

Very strange to see King Felix get lit up. 4 HR in 4 innings. Had never even given up 3 in a game before.

Very disappointed in King Felix tonight…I kind of counted that as a loss for the Nats and expected my Braves to pick up a game. Felix got his FIRST strikeout in the 5th tonight…just not on his game.
