    Re: Astros acquire Beltran

Beltran is a better fit than even a productive Hidalgo. As much as I love Bidge, he has absolutely NO range or arm in center. Moved to left, in front of the short porch that is the Crawford boxes, he'll be better. Beltran has the speed to cover the huge Minute Maid center field. Plus on offense, he has speed, something the Astros have lacked for a while. It had to be made, a shake up had to come.

The A's could not have addressed their bullpen problem soon enough. Teahan was a solid prospect but I trust Oakland to restock the farm system. Good deal overall for these three teams.

Well there's you derby folks. Where does Biggio go in this move? Are they going to push him to a corner outfield spot?

What I heard was that the Astros were strongly considering moving Biggio back to 2B and Kent to 3B. I guess that leaves Ensberg on the bench though...

The other situation was the one you mentioned (Beltran in CF, Biggio in LF, Berkman in RF and Lane to the bench).

ESPN says that Biggio will be pushed to left and Berkman will shift to right. So it will be Biggio, Beltran, Berkman and Lane back to the bench
