He looked safe to me.
I didn't mind him for pulling Zimmerman. I wouldn't have done it, but if he stays in and gives up a run people still act like they would have known better. He was at 100 pitches. He got screwed by the umpire though.Comment

I had a feeling as soon as Storen came in that the lead wasn't safe.
You gotta feel for the Nats, they've completely inherited the bad luck of the Expos.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

No…he was dominant and got squeezed while only at 100 pitches. You leave him in and don't think twice about it."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

And if I may, what would've happened to Zimmermann, hypothetically, is completely irrelevant when playing armchair manager. Clearly it would've been a 100% proposition had Williams left Zimmermann in, lolChicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Bad move to pull Zimmerman. I think that play at the plate wasn't nearly as close as the announcers seemed to think. Looked pretty clear to me that his foot was never down when the glove hit his uniform. Thanks to LBzrules: So these threads won't be forever lost.

I hate to admit that I picked the Cards and Giants solely because of their seemingly inexhaustible reserves of evil mojo BS, but there you have it.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. Who's doing the PBP for this game? Ryan Zimmerman the team leader in offensive categories across the board?
BWAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHA!
Oh I shed a tear at such ignorance....and don't give me that "it's only as the Nats he's talking about" because the franchise still links itself with the Expos what with a couple ceremonies they've done with Expos players in the last few years.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Second major blunder by Williams. You just can't get ejected at this stage of a playoff game.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

If you're the Nats you can't lose your composure like that…this isn't a Thursday night in June, it's the freaking playoffs. Both of those were close enough to be called anyway…it's the sign of a team playing really tight."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. The Nats have completely lost their cool here. If the Nats lose tonight I could see them going down in Game 3.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
