Trade Rumor: Nomar for Matt Clement

Just watching baseball tonight and that old guy on the show said there was a rumor of a trade between the cubs and the bosox with Nomar going to the Cubs and Clement going to the Bosox. If this trade goes down I think it will benefit both teams because Alex S. Gonzoles, the cubs starting shortstop, has been out with a broken wrist. Also the Bosox would have a great #3-4 guy while they still have Schilling and Pedro. Cubs Piching staff would remain solid b/c Glendon Rusch, backup for Wood, is solid at 4-1, 4.33 ERA. This probably wont go down but if it does it would be great for both teams.

I would never make that deal if I was the Red Sox, you can get way more for Nomar than just Matt Clement

Could be offbase here, but isn't this a walk year for Nomar? If so , that could sway the deal. I think it might be a walk year for Clement as well. Clement is a REALLY good pitcher, and to be honest, if its just for a half year for both, I'd rather have Clement.

Could be offbase here, but isn't this a walk year for Nomar? If so , that could sway the deal. I think it might be a walk year for Clement as well. Clement is a REALLY good pitcher, and to be honest, if its just for a half year for both, I'd rather have Clement.

Well he's been no worse than Freddy Garcia the past three years and isn't he supposed to lead the Sox to the promised land?

Clement's a very good pitcher. Don't let your allegiances cloud your vision.
