    Big Unit to Boston????

Rumors are swirling that Boston is working on a three way trade involving the Cubs that would send Nomar to Chicago and prospects to Arizona and this would land Randy Johnson to the Red Sox. This will be game set match for the Yankees if this happens. Step up George you idiot.

I dont have the link but I saw stories posted from various Boston newspapers and MSNBC.

I've heard this a couple places too. Seems like the Sox are going all out to make sure that Johnson doesn't end up in pinstripes.

This would undoubtedly give the Red Sox the best rotation 1-3 in the league. Going into the year the best trios that came to mind probably would have been Hudson-Zito-Mulder, Prior-Wood-Zambrano, and Clemens-Pettite-Oswalt. Zito hasn't been himself, Wood and Prior have been hurt, and Pettite hasn't pitched well this year. Another thing about this potential trio is that they're all veterans who have pitched in big games. What a monumental task it would be to have to win four games in a series when you'd have to face Johnson, Schilling, and Pedro twice each. But I guess I'm getting ahead of myself since it's just speculation at this point.

I don't know if even the curse of the bambino could stop a team with Pedro, Schilling, and Johnson from winning the World Series.
