    Sox-Twins

I hope we drill Hunter right in the back tomorrow night. I was there today and it looked like a clean hit, but when I seen it on TV hunter clearly went out of his way to lay out Burke...ill be there tomorrow and I hope I see some fireworks because we are now down 1 1/2 and need some motivation and after this Hunter should be drilled and maybe it will change our momentum into the right direction.

I hear yah, that was some chicken [censored] stuff. He ran straight to Jaime Burke and then went back to step on home plate. The sox need to retailiate tommorrow. Or else the twins win the mind game. I got so pissed when I saw that on tv especially when you see it in replay. he had the whole outside of homeplate to himself. PLUNK THE PUNK.

Typical response from White Sox fans. Read the papers. Your own manager said:

"if that were my guy i would be out there high-fiving him. That's the way i was taught to play the game."

Torii Hunter is not a dirty ballplayer. He doesn't have that rep. Is a response necessary to a clean baseball play? I hope it is. I hope the White Sox spend the rest of the year responding to that play. That should help lock up a 3rd straight division title for the Twins.

The Sox probably won't have to do anything themselves. I'm sure one of their fans will jump out of the stands in a meth-induced frenzy in an attempt to even the score. Sox fans wouldn't want to lose their title as the most classless fans in baseball.

Personally, i enjoyed the play, the win, and the Twins position in the standings. Chicago has got the big names, and makes the big trades, but they're still just chasing the little ol' Minnesota Twins. I love it.

Being a White Sox fan originally I thought about the retalilation tactic when I first saw the play BUT after I keep watching it over and over it was just HARD baserunning. I can't fault Tori for that. What I still am not comfortable with is Tori standing over Burke after he knock him on his [censored]. BUT I have no problem with that either. The Twins are sending us a message and Ozzie knows it. I just hope the players respond with a big performance in the next 2 games.

As a true Sox fan I would rather see us blow the Twinkies out of the water these next two games THAN TO HAVE Garcia throw at Tori and be suspended for 10 games and we get swept by the Twinkies.

If we win these next 2 games then Sox fans would have forgotten all about the incident.

Ive watched it over and over, and it was clear as day Hunter went out of his way to completely lay out burke.

Burke is in the hospital now, and we are down 1 1/2 games. What ever happen to protecting your players? I still believe it was wrong and they better come out tonight and play harder than they have played all season.

Chicago has the big names? Our two biggest names are on the DL, there buddy.

Gotta love the fact you brought up fans attacking someone! It was a dirty play, everyone knew Hunter's intention.

How about going back to the dugout when the crowd was yelling at Hunter and Hunter said. "Kill me? Why wait, do it now, I'm from the Hood!"

Hey Torii, you are from Arkansas.

It's all green grass and farmland in Arkansas, isn't it, genius? Everybody there is a hick farmer, and there are no rough neighborhoods, right? Do a little research. I'm sure they don't have places as horrible as they do in Chicago (how could they), but i'm quite certain there are a few rough spots. But hey, if you think he's lying, why not buy a ticket tonight and jump the fence and see? You'd be on Sportscenter for sure, but it wouldn't be a shock. You are a White Sox fan, after all.

A dirty play? Guillen said it wasn't, and he's the rival manager. You read his quote. He would have been out there high-fiving his player if the tables were turned, so why should the Sox be up in arms? It was a play at the plate and the catcher got run over. Sox fans act like that's never happened before. What a bunch of babies.

I hope the Sox come out and go after Hunter. That would be perfect.

Question: Which team has Frank Thomas and Magglio Ordonez been playing for all year? That's right, the Chicago White Sox. They're still Sox property and still collecting checks. Am i supposed to factor in their injuries when the Twins beat the Sox? The Sox put quite a hurt on the Twins this year when we were without Mauer, Shannon Stewart, Meintkiewicz, Koskie.........etc. Injuries are part of the game. Every team deals with them, so take that off of your "list of things to whine about".

That's what I don't want to happen and I think it's not going to happen. I just hopes this incident fires up the Sox player to play with a chip on their shoulder.

I'm going to be at the game tonight and I would rather see us kill the Twins by 10 runs and no bench clearing brawl than to have a bench clearing brawl and us loose to the Twins, again.

But the Sox are 7-4 against the Twinkies this year and we are only 1.5 games back with 2 full months of baseball left. And we also have 8 more games to clobber them. So, this may be a big series but it's not going to make or break our season.
