    Re: Sox-Twins

You're right, and it goes both ways. I think this series may be more important to the Twins than the Sox, simply because the Sox have been dominating them all year. The Twins need to show that they can play with them, and a series win would be a confidence boost.

The Twins have been tough down the stretch the last 2 seasons, while the Sox have faded. Both teams have to be thinking about that again this season.

it's a tight race, and i expect it to go right down to the last week of the season.

The truth is is that Burke was blindslided on that play. He wasn't even looking at Hunter, or even close the ball. It was a dirty play.

I bet if it was the other way around, where say Frank Thomas ran into Henry Blanco. You would say it was an okay play and that it wasn't dirty.

I'm sorry, but it was a thug play from a guy who says he is a thug from the hood. Karma will catch up to him one way or another, but for now I hope the Sox's catcher gets healthy fast.

That has to be the hit of the year!.

A little note to Jamie Burke: if you don't have the ball don't stand on the tracks when the trains comin'.

                                Twins win again.

                                2 1/2 games up.
