I wonder why the Twins and their fans weren't crying after Corey Koskie got hit 3 times last night? Intentional or not, that's still cause for retialiation in some people's minds. Koskie just shrugged it off and said "it's part of the game". He's not the first guy to get a hit a couple of times in a game, and he won't be the last. No reason to make a big deal out of it. It's too bad Sox fans don't see things that way. They act like Burke is the first guy to get steamrolled at the plate. It's part of the game. Deal with it.

The series win is big for the Twins. The Twins 2 best pitchers came out on top vs. the Sox 2 best. That's a confidence booster.

Disappointing that the Sox have tightened up in one of the biggest series so far this year

There's still a lot of season left. This series is bigger for the fans than the players, i think. A sweep either way and there's still plenty of time to make up ground. The Twins were in 3rd place at this time last year.

I don't see the Sox as playing tight. I haven't seen a lot of physical or mental errors. I just think the Twins are starting to hit again, instead of giving away at-bats as they have for most of the year. Good pitching doesn't hurt, either.

This will be a dogfight to the end.

As a catcher I am told that I shouldnt be any where near the line if I dont have the ball, so I dont think that it was a cheap or dirty play. My opinion may be effected by my love of the Twins though as well. However as a catcher, I see nothing wrong with what Torii did though. In Torii's defense though, he may have thought that the C had the ball already or the ball was going to beat him there. How can you fault a player for trying to do anything he can to help his club win a big ball game? More importantly though, the Twins swept the series and Torii Hunter had the last laugh with his home run and diving catch in the bottom of the 10th

who cares if it was a dirty play or not, the twins just played harder, smarter baseball. Our sox didn't deserve to win this series. You can't win on just hrs, stealing third base with no one out and your the tying run(valentine). and swinging at the first pitch you see (borchard) with the potential winning run on third (you [censored]), the twins deserved to win and torii's plow of burke should serve as a wake up call to get off your asses and remember this the majors not minors. Play Hard, Play Ball, and best of all Play SMART!

I cant believe I went to all 3 of these games.

The sox gave minnesota the game today and they took it and ran, Minnesota plays smallball and they play it well. Minnesota showed me they are a pretty darn good team this year. I really liked what I saw from Santana who pitched last night, you guys might have a superstar in the future right there. As for the sox they have dissapointed me again. I hope we can bounce back these next few days in Detroit because if we dont Minne will run away with it as they did last year. I also cant believe how pathetic our offense looks without our #3 & 4 hitters out (maggs/big frank)

also wanted to mention what a great catch by Hunter today in the 10th which was right in front of me.
