I didn't mean to infer that Barry has a horrible arm in terms of strength (average IMO), but Mays had a very good one. I guess being a Pirate fan and watching Barry throw a 3 hopper from medium LF in the NLCS back in the early 90's as Sid Bream scored from 2nd has me doubting Barry's arm strength at times. To this day, I still can't believe he couldn't throw a guy out with 2 bad knees.

Well excuse me as I go hang myself. It hurts to remember that throw.

i've always noticed bonds takes a little while to break milestones probably because he tries to hard, but its ok because he is the best right now.

Actually, he's expanded his strike zone because the Brewers manager said they were going to pitch to him. Case in point, if the Giants were to again face the Diamondbacks, he wouldn't be swinging at first pitches and at many borderline pitches (like he would get them anyway with Al Pedrique managing that team).

I was right, it'll come down to the Padres series for 700... another series that's themed around a home run for the second time this season.
