Sanchez wasn't great, but at same time he wasn't as bad as the score was. Sure,Jays were losing 5-0 at one point, but Sanchez was only responsible for 2 of those runs(3 of the runs he allowed were cause of an error)

I'm going to the Athletics game on Thursday. Barry Zito is the probable starter. Curious as to how he looks. Saw him earlier in the spring and he looked pretty good.

Good to see the Jays bats get us back into the game though. Pompey had some unfortunate adventures in the outfield.

              an unfortunate adventure...Singular.

He had a great sliding catch then in the same inning like a couple ABs later he lost the ball in the sun. He more than made up for it with the bat and the SB.

Did you expect him to say his pitcher looked bad?

I'm amused and somewhat not surprised.

In further news, the Philadelphia Phillies, in anticipation of needing an additional starter this year, signed a pitching machine.

Can understand why Wright and Parnell did what they did here, but if a dude took my lunch and threw it in the trash, he's going in with it.

Top Mets prospect Noah Syndergaard accepted responsibility for being in the clubhouse during Tuesday's intrasquad game in violation of protocol, while captain David Wright apologized for confronting him in the presence of media.

No, but I also watched the game and Sanchez's problem wasn't necessarily his "stuff" though clearly that was part of it. Sanchez came out looking VERY good in both his innings. It was on the mental side of the game where the wheels really came off. He pretty much struck out a guy to end the 1st but the ump didn't give him the call and he became clearly rattled by going off the mound and trying to let it go. That, compounded by the Donaldson error didn't help. Both innings got "long" and Sanchez was clearly fatigued at the end also indicated that he wasn't quite ready yet. This isn't necessarily a bad thing as it's just the first game of spring training. I expect him to have a better outing next time around.

                          No...you wouldn't....
Not if you wanted to ever be part of the team in a meaningful way.

I'll parallel it to the F.D. and a probie in the house. It's NOT about the lunch per se...but what you are supposed to be doing at certain times
...but if I did that to prove a point to a probie...and he TRIED to do what you suggested.....he'd have to find a different hole to eat his food in every day.
NOBODY in the house(on the team) would let it go(until he apologized and ironed it out with the senior man)

                          It's called **** rolls downhill.
Someday he'll be doing it to a new guy who is not doing what he should.
(I'm guessing when teams are on the field.....rookies are doing things related to baseball...he won't starve to wait a few hours to eat.)

Sorry Knight, but nobody gets in between me and my food. Especially if I'm hungry. lol

I just think there's a different way to handle it. Tell him the first time, that stuff isn't acceptable around here. Treat him like a grown man. If he doesn't again, then you can get nasty.

                            Just my take.

I'm disappointed ESPN is choosing ARod to watch at-bats live.
So many more worthy candidates as interesting, not to to mention ARod being totally unworthy.
