Re: Who is your starting 9 of all-time?
I could make a case for a dozen pitchers.....and nobody would be "wrong" per se.....but I think Pedro is underrated....maybe more overlooked really.
Truth be told....it's probably Walter Johnson hands down if you get to it. Maddux has to be in that talk as well.

Re: Who is your starting 9 of all-time?
Hard to argue against Pedro. I mean this really was a catch-22 question as I could a hundred starting pitchers who were or could be considered the greatest at one point or another.
It is a shame one of them will never be a HOF'er, that being Clemens.Comment

Re: Who is your starting 9 of all-time?
I'm not going to sit here and talk about players I never got to watch. Since I was born in 1987...
C - Ivan Rodriguez
1B - Albert Pujols
2B - Roberto Alomar
SS - Alex Rodriguez
3B - Chipper Jones
LF - Barry Bonds
CF - Ken Griffey Jr.
RF - Ichiro Suzuki
P - Greg Maddux
CL - Mariano Rivera
1. Ichiro Suzuki
2. Roberto Alomar
3. Barry Bonds
4. Albert Pujols
5. Alex Rodriguez
6. Ken Griffey Jr.
7. Chipper Jones
8. Ivan Rodriguez
9. Greg Maddux
....would probably be my lineup.
Of course, if we construct the list of "favorites" instead of "best," this list would look a bit different.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 03-24-2015, 04:07 PM.Comment
