Jays-Red Sox game took 4 hours to play!

19 total runs, 30 hits, 13 walks, 17 strikeouts. It was a 9 inning game btw.

And Bautista hit a foul ball so hard/far that it broke a light in the Red Sox Coke sign in foul territory.

Fair weather and have been for some time. Not saying all but majority are. It's pathetic how pro teams are treated in that town.

Travis Wood threw a gem tonight minus to two run bomb to Marte. Cubs pitching looking great besides our 155 mill man 0-2 with plus 5 ERA.

Also Castro with another 3 hit night. Made a error but it didn't hurt us in the long run and he made up for it getting a rbi. Hard to believe some Cubs fans still want him gone.

He made a couple of other nice plays defensively. One on a diving catch, another where he nearly threw Cutch out on a diving play to his arm side. I'll live with the occasional brain-fart, error if he's making plays like the other ones consistently (which he has this season).

Exactly. Played great d minus the bobble and is seeing the ball really well. He's really locked in and I think Joe Maddon has a lot to do with it.

I wanted to give Fredi one more chance this year, but after a game like tonight, he has no business being the manager of the Braves. He's accomplished absolutely nothing since coming to Atlanta other than fielding teams year in and year out that always collapse.
So let's put things in perspective.

Joe Torre blew a 3-0 lead in the 2004 ALCS.

Bobby Cox blew the '96 WS where we were over/beyond the better team and should've won that series. Not to mention the only decent closer we had in the 15-year run was Smoltz.

Those are two instances off the top of my head so while Fredi's decision management does lack, it's not to the extent he should fired immediately.

...as a side note, I would love if TP gets a chance.

Looks like Jarrod Saltalamacchia will be traded in the next few days. Just a matter of what team he ends up with. TB, KC, or AZ.

Wouldn't mind the M's trading for him, we could use a bacup C who doesn't hit like a pitcher.

They are killing it again tonight. They lead the Majors in stolen bases and are tied for the most homers (despite Carter only having 2).

Speaking of Carter, he has a long ball tonight (along with Gattis and Springer) and has 2 hits to up his hitting streak to 7 games.

If the Astros hold on to this 8-3 lead, they will improve to 12-0 when scoring 4+ runs and 11-0 when scoring first.

Phillies willing to pay some of Cole Hamels contract to facilitate a trade. I think Amaro held onto him too long. He hasn't looked very good to start the year. Still early though.

An incalculable amount of ink has been dedicated to the Cole Hamels saga and whether or not Phillies GM Ruben …
