      Saw Matz is out with a torn lat muscle...that sucks. Nothing I hate more than injuries, especially to young prospects.

            The system is so ridiculously flawed. These umps need after game press conferences and own their mistakes.

            Edit: I guess it doesn't matter if it hits an ump if its already past a fielder? I'd never heard that rule before.

            Isn't the ump in play anywhere?

                            Why did Wood not come back out? He hadn't even pitched really, so I don't get "protecting" him there. Also, the Jake Brigham story was nice, but there is a reason he was in the minors for 9 years...send him back.

                                After tonight's gem against the Phillies, according to my calculations Greinke's up to 36 scoreless IP and hasn't allowed a run since a Justin Upton solo HR on June 13th. Now if he can just continue this for the rest of July, he might challenge Hershiser.
