For what we gave up to get Trunbo we could have had Carlos Gomez or even Billy Hamilton, and those are the types of players we need not another streaky low on-base low average guy. I wonder if our idiot GM even called the Brewers to ask about Gomez. Doubt it, since he only like players who can hit the ball out of Yellowstone, who cares if they hit for .300+ AVG with 30 steals and gold glove defense, if they cant hit dingers who cares? Our GM certainly doesn't.

Trumbo just swung at a pitch 10 feet outside on back to back pitches, I am not making this up the pitch was literally on the far line of the other batters box. God Trumbo sucks.

Always sucks to listen to the home announcers talk about a shutout against your team.

I've been there. Best to just let it ride.

Halfway point of season,Jays only projected for 84 wins, despite having such a great offensive team(which is on pace to score 882 runs,3rd most in franchise history, and it'd be most since Yankees/Angels in 2009)....Their pitching needs work! Get a starter and a closer sometime this month before it's too late! It's sad just how bad the Jays pitching is,when you have some of the leagues best offensive teams for so many years.

I doubt the M's would've gotten Gomez for a backup catcher, two fringe top 15 organizational prospects and a ML reliever.

For what it's worth Gabby Guererro was our 4th rated prospect.

Better than I said, worse than you. My point remains, however

Guerrero, 21, is the best prospect in the deal, despite a rough year at Double-A so far (.215/.262/.305). The nephew of famed slugger Vladimir Guerrero, Gabby has ranked among the Mariners’ Top 15 prospects in each of the past three offseasons, topping out at seventh this past winter. In their most recent scouting report, BA noted that Guerrero has plus-plus raw power, a plus-plus arm in right field (sound familiar?) and plus range as well, but he’s overly aggressive at the plate and swings too hard too often. Guerrero has baseball in his genes and is a high-risk, high-reward type of prospect; BA and other outlets such as MLB.com (where he ranks fifth among Mariners prospects) and Fangraphs (eighth) all feel that he could ultimately be an everyday right fielder, but the likelihood isn’t great without adjustments to his approach.

Mariners are so frustrating they give you hope for a few days then fall on their faces. What good is having power guys uf there is no one on base to drive in? Went out and got all that power and forgot to get players that can get on base in front of all that power. That's like going for a drive and forgetting to put tires on your car.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. We better not give anything of value up for Lucroy. Catcher is a long term need, but AJ is fine for this year and a 29 year old catcher isn't going to make things better. If they get him on the cheap, great, but if we give up anything of value I'll be pissed. I could see Folty getting traded because he's fallen out of grace, but that would be a huge mistake IMO.
