It's coming...I mean most guys are throwing from out to next pitch is probably something like 25 seconds. The top 2 guys are Buehrle and Wade Miley both around 15-17 seconds. So if you institute a clock at 20 seconds that seems to be fine for me. And in the MiLB like I said it cut games down by about 15 minutes on avg.

    Pretty cool.
He still shouldn't have been an AS; it should've been Bogaerts.

Amazing that he's the first one ever. I couldn't believe it when I read it

For all the hype they're giving Harper, I really hope speculation never comes true and he never puts on a Yankee uniform. Will just be a horrible sight to see.

Also, I found out what Pack does! Works at FOX as one of the TV people who decides when to go to commercial! Conveniently doing so literally seconds before the Canadian anthem is sung, and returns from break the second it ends.

Don't know if it will be a Yankee uniform but if he continues to play like he has done this year he will get at least a 10 year, $300,000,000 contract.

                    ....from the Yankees!

I hope that doesn't happen. Make Yankees have to build a team from their own grown talents, not just buying player after player after player!

Free agency is a legitimate way of building a team, if not efficient. A home grown plus supplemental free agents is better. But Harper would be a generational (assuming he continues to play like he has this season) so it would be foolish for the Yankees, or for that matter, any franchise that could sign him not to pursue him.

I think they Yanks will go after either Upton or Heyward this offseason.

Harper just seems exceedingly likely to sign with the Yankees, Red Sox, or Dodgers for 15/600,000,000 or something ridiculous like that.

I hope he doesn't and the Braves have to face him 19 times a year just so we can lay waste to this "THE YANKEES SIGN EVERYONE DURRRRRRRRR" nonsense that's plagued baseball fandom for 20 years now.

It'll be really interesting to see if how much his contract pushes Trout's upward of $1B.

Hal Stienbrenner has a magic number of 189 million that he wants to get the payroll down too. I'd be shocked if we get Trout or Harper.
