A prospect guy I read made a Yasmani Grandal comparison. That implies he's a good pitch framer and I don't know enough about his game to know if that's true.

Really? Everything i've heard is that he's an A++ hitter but his defense behind the plate is a bit suspect. Most people think that if the Cubs weren't so loaded he'd be a better fit playing in the INF.

...just like Yasmani Grandal, who is pretty terrible controlling the running game and blocking pitches. He frames and hits though.

No doubt that Schwarber's bat could play anywhere on the diamond (even 1B if we didn't have Rizzo), but I would say the point about Schwarber's defense is pretty accurate. He's ok at framing..nothing particularly amazing, but where he struggles is with dexterity and his 1st throw from behind the plate in the bigs went into centerfield. The thing I notice most about Schwarber is that it almost looks painful for him getting into his crouch. He's just a big, thickly built guy and it's tough for him to be nimble at all back there.

It'll change within next 20 or so mins,but weird looking at AL East standings and seeing Rays,Jays,O's all at .500 with diff win totals. Rays 48-48,Jays 47-47,O's 46-46.

Lloyd McClendon is such an idiot. He keeps putting Rodney in high leveraged situations. He is like the Forrest Gump of managers but without the charm.
