As far as what I've quoted here...100+MM thru 2020 and he's on a turf field for 81 games while being one of the more oft-injured superstars. Personally, I don't think he lives up to that contract beyond 2016...the past few years he's been great 1/2 of the year - I think that will hold true until he becomes good then fringe average 1/2 of the year (injured otherwise).
I'm hoping a lot of Tulo's injury concerns were more due to playing at altitude. The Jays may get a dirt infield next year and will have natural grass by 2018.

Like STL did for the old Busch stadium?

Is this legit or still preliminary talk?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

It's in the pipeline. The dirt infield part was kind of preliminary before the Argos were sold to Larry Tannenbaum but now that they're moving to BMO field I would safely bet that we will see dirt on the infield. The natural grass thing is still very preliminary though it's a long term goal. I believe one of the universities here in Ontario have been hired to look into the technology.

I dont see how jays dont use dirt infield starting next year. Get groundscrew use to it before adding grass in 2018. And of course, protect your investments! If donaldson and/or tulo even hint at wanting it,you do it!

As for grass...they're already doing studies on how to get proper setup for grass field. I think they even had people fly to Milwaukee to learn more about their setup

So how would playing at altitude explain Tulo's "injury concerns"?

So Mets 1 out from winning and the game goes into a 44 minute rain delay. Game resumes Padres get 2 on and Upton hits 3 run homer, 8-7 Padres. Now a 3 hour rain delay and the game resumes

And the Red Sox have already lost. Down 2-0 again. And Sale is pitching for CHI.

Seth Smith with a 2-R HR off Phil Hughes. First game in the cleanup spot since early May.

He was never considered untouchable. Phillies sent him to Houston in the Roy Oswalt deal in 2010.

Pretty sure I read some where the Phillies didn't want to trade him for anything after his rookie year

Happ is a frustrating guy to watch. He has long stretches where you think he's a top 2 in the rotation starter and then there are times you wonder how he even made it to the majors.
