And not get ejected. Jays acting manager will. It actually happened before

Yep, Tim Leiper (sp) is the acting manager right now. I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time this season we've gone this deep on the coaching staff as manager.

You mean to tell me that a bad performance happened with a crew where Angel Hernandez was the crew chief? No way....

I don't understand how these people keep a job.

I always assumed he had some dirt on Selig. Now, I have no clue.

                  So funny. And sad.

So basically you have 2 umpiring crews interpreting the "warning" in 2 totally different ways. That's a problem.
What happened in the Toronto game after the warning? Someone hit someone and didn't get tossed?

Was it clearly accidental as Melancon's was?

I'd have to see the height of that pitch because I have no problem with that being called a strike if between the letters/knees. Way too close to complain about...

Yeah, Volquez hit Donaldson, you could interpret it either way but when you have a warning in place you HAVE to enforce the rules especially when one can reasonably say it was on purpose.

                        But jays win!!!! 5-2!

That was a great capper to what has been the craziest, most exciting regular season series i've seen in this city since the World Series years.

Close sure, but the way the game gone...just more bad calling on both sides. Wolf at one point yelled at royals dugout too for complaining

Not just that, volquez was taunting jays when tulo got hit too!

The rules don't say a warning requires an ejection with a hit batter.

That's why I asked if it was clearly intentional or not. The umpire is allowed to make the decision. A warning just means if it's deemed intentional ejections will follow.

So your post was a bit unclear, and again I'm just curious because of what happened in the Pirates game, but was it pretty clearly intentional? Baserunners on? What were the outs and score scenario at the time?
