Denkinger-tier call at first in the Cubs-Sox game is going to get easily reversed.

Kris Bryant has been struggling recently.

After wrapping up the first three months of the season with a .275/.381/.466 line, Bryant struggled in July, posting a .639 OPS and 33.3 percent strikeout rate (both were his worst for any month).

I've talked about this in other threads, but Kris Bryant's quietly been an all-around force this year. Troy Glaus was the comp I heard thrown around when he was a prospect, but he's looking more like a well-rounded Giancarlo Stanton. The power obviously isn't at Stanton-type levels yet, but there's no reason to think it won't get to those levels.
I know there is a lot of Bryant love...and I'm not saying he can't be a good player, but I really haven't been impressed with him. His K rate is through the roof and his BABIP is in the mid .340's. His HR/FB rate is out of this world as well...not sure if that is something he'll maintain (maybe it is due to his power), but I just expected a more polished hitter. At this point he reminds me of a more athletic Dave Kingman...

Did ya'll see that walk-off home run swing by Chris Davis? He had absolutely nothing on it, and it just took off haha.

I don't think you understood what I said.

I said that unless they have a collapse like the Nats, then they still probably make the playoffs.

I didn't say that Washington had any effect on the Jays

I'm telling ya, mechanics are poor with that uppercut swing plane. Pitchers are probably just figuring him out.

He needs to flatten it. For those who are telling me it will take away his power, you're not understanding 1) how physics work and 2) how much more important success rate is than home run rate, and how both can potentially be part of the same swing.

Sox are throwing the game away. 4-2 on an error.

A "Walgreens situation" isn't really an often used analogy in my world.

                              But like you said, whatever.

I already posted that Walgreens = Nationals (credit to whoever made that up, I like it), so obviously that means pretty much falling out of the playoff race like the NATIONALS have been doing in real life. Also not sure how you took my post to mean the Nats have anything to do with the Jays playoff chances.
