I wasn't trying to be rude about it unlike D13, but yeah, I still don't like the comparison. One guy will get on base a lot; the other guy didn't. That's a pretty important difference, leaving aside that Bryant is simply a much better athlete and all-around contributor than Kingman was.

There are plenty of other swing-and-miss, high OBP power hitters you could compare him to...and plenty of them are good. If Bryant fills out his power potential, he's closer to Mike Schmidt than Dave Kingman. Yeah, I just threw out a Mike Schmidt comp (super, super-high ceiling of course. I definitely think Bryant's overall base of skills is closer to Schmidt than a lumbering one-trick pony like Kingman).

I wasn't being rude. I was being blunt. Hard to judge a tone over the Internet but you seem to have mastered it lol. All love from this side my man. Bryant is the next power guy. His swing along with projections back that up. He's 23...once his frame is at full capacity with muscle and veteran years to it. It's gonna be something to watch.

I said the same thing but it is very common for that to happen, it happens a lot around the league.

Cubs fans blow it up because it's Castro involved lol.

He hasn't been bad, just had a couple bad innings. Plus a couple good games from certain guys (Marte (finally), Cano, and Guti)

I don't see a lot of MLB players that just miss a simple throw from SS to 2B. I like Castro, but **** that like drives me crazy. There's no excuse for that.

Luckily that didn't hurt, but the Cubs have run into the Sale buzzsaw. 9 Ks through 4 so far
