Yanks pouring it on, we needed this, but damn this team is inconsistent. They can hang 15 on you in a hurry or struggle to score 5 runs in a series.

It's no tough guy act at all.

I spent 16 years in the funeral business as a funeral director and embalmer. I understand death better than most. I also have a great appreciation for the gift that life is and acting like a fool and screaming at a baseball player at age 60 (not to mention having your irresponsible death scar and haunt a group of people including children) is a stupid way to go.

Well, at least the Yankees get some benefit from sweeping us. Would rather Toronto not win that division.

Looks like the Jays may take this game and sweep the series today. Nice to see Gibby actually make the right call long term putting Revere at lead off and Tulo in the 5 hole.

May I ask why is that? Don't like the team or the contingent of fans here being annoying to a degree? (see I admit it)

Not gonna comment on the Turner field situation.

Seager hit his 19th HR two days ago, his 20th yesterday, and hit his 21st today. Hopefully he gets on a hot streak and can get over 25 HRs and finish with something like a .270 average.

I just think the Turner Field situation sucks. Such an awful way to go. Whether or not the guy was wasted is irrelevant; it's just sad. Sad for him and his family, sad for the fans nearby, sad for the Braves and Yankees, and for the entire game. One has to hope that a positive will come out of this such as a renewed emphasis on fan safety and expedition of safety nets around the infield. Nothing you can really do about this happening from time to time though--if someone jumps or falls it's really impossible to stop them from doing so.

My reaction after jays 1st inning today...

Lol,jays with 11hrs in this series! Thats more than tigers even scored in total runs! Outscored them 29-6! Doing things rarely(if ever before) seen in franchise history, including their WS years!

This is unreal...most embarrassing series I can remember for the Braves in years. Just awful.

I just looked at the score and it was 8-5, and now the tanks have 16 runs!! Weird series. Hope this continues against boston.

Don't know if it will happen. Pitching is probably something like Rodriguez, don't know, Owens.

You can't legislate away bad things from happening. You said it yourself that a net wouldn't have done anything about this guy. What, should we have 3 feet high glass dividers in front of every seating level? I'm sick of proposals presented to "DO SOMETHING!" about something just to make people feel good that they "DID SOMETHING!" even though it does absolutely nothing and is ugly and pointless and costly but worst of all an appeasement to the Peddlers of "Problematic!" who think everything is wrong with everything. How about we stop demanding empty "fixes" (for problems that don't really exist) and start demand accountability, awareness, and intelligence from people?

I like the Yankees and have always rooted for them even despite battles with the Braves in the World Series, I hate Boston, my older brother and girlfriend are both Yankees fans, Brian McCann, I want them to have a better chance of being in the playoffs outside of the Wild Card Gimmick Nonsense since I'll likely be visiting New York in mid-October, and Toronto fans have gotten a bit like Saints fans and Seahawks fans in the last little bit. Love the team itself though.

Hence why I think base coaches should have the option of wearing a helmet and it shouldn't be required. However, 60 out of 60 base coaches would still wear the helmet. That's cool with me, I just don't like it being required because of the minor league coach that was killed.

Also, they want to put up a safety net on the Golden Gate Bridge to stop jumpers (like one of my friends). Suicidal people will just find another method, so I don't know what solution it is they think they're suggesting.

I didn't know the guy wasn't already in the front row, though. According to that witness testimony, it sounded like he was several rows back, then got up and in the aisle to run down and boo before he fell.

If you want to speak about stupidity (or rather daring), wasn't there somebody who tried to slide down a railing on their keister before flipping over and falling? I am pretty sure that person died, but I can't remember. I think it was at a Raiders game, maybe? Some sort of football game.
