If the fan said something completely racist then he could counter-sue or something (I think). I am sure he has been heckled before and could handle it. IMO it had to have gone above and beyond anything we can fathom.Comment

Re: Fracisco chair tossing contest.
Originally posted by snivlemthat wouldn't make sense, unless they called him fat while he was warming up and he just threw the chair during the fight because he was pissed off about the comments earlier. But, Francisco was in the dugout when the 'fight' started. He ran straight from the dugout to the bullpen, grabbed the chair and hurled it.Comment

Yeah Todd Wright on ESPN radio was talking about it with Steve Kline of the Cardinals. Apparently they were getting on Brocail and it wasn't anything overly offensive.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Fracisco chair tossing contest.
Francisco was wrong obviously. He should be suspended for a good while, and perhaps do a little time in the pokey.
But I have a HUGE problem with a fan going to a game, cussing and berating players, annoying everyone around them, then getting PAID A MILLION BUCKS for an incident that they caused.
If this boneheaded fan would have just gone to the game, had a beer and a dog, and cheered on his beloved A's, would this have happened?
Francisco was very wrong, but the fan is still a immature scumbag. He's the reason I feel uncomfortable taking my six-year-old to ball games.Comment
