We've lost 11 straight and 18 of 20. And we've barely been in most of those games. We've lost 15-4, 20-6 and 15-1. We got swept, at home, by the Marlins.

Right now, we're that team in Little League with the left-fielder who picks dandelions all game long. We're just flat out bad right now.

Is there any way Gonzalez (ATL) loses his job? I mean the Braves were playing at least competitive ball up to the All Star Break. How does a team play competitively even if they're losing suddenly turn into a team that looks like they don't give a damn and/or completely outmatched?!

It's mind boggling to say the least.

Let's be clear, the team on the field now isn't the same team from the first half. Nearly half of that team has been traded away or is out with injury. The rotation is now made up of 3 rookies who have exceeded their previous high in innings pitched and thr bullpen is a bunch of scrap heap rejects and career AAA'ers. That said, there really isn't any reason that they should be AS bad as they have been...it's been historically bad. At this juncture what's the point of firing Fredi...maybe a change is made in the offseason, but they'll just limp out the last few weeks, probably lose 100 games, and secure the top pick next year.

It would be nice if the Yanks take the series today considering I will be there.

Cant wait for game today. Tillman sucks vs the jays hitters. Majority of their lineup is hitting over .300 in 10+ab per player vs him.

Earlier this year when I was hoping the Padres would be that "fun team to watch," now that the Rogers Centre is packed daily and the Jays are providing this kind of offense, they have taken that void that was missing for me. It has to be home games, though.

Nats leapfrogged the Giants for the "chasing the Cubs for the 2nd Wild Card " position, sitting at 7.5 back. After them and the Giants...forget it, the rest of the teams in the NL are below .500.

The Wildcard race is done and dusted. Pretty early too.

Haha, when the Cubs and Mets are among the teams that would make the playoffs if the season ended today, nothing is decided.

Bryant just sent one into orbit. Hit high off the scoreboard in left-center. 495' estimated.

Also ties Billy Williams with a franchise rookie record 86 RBI.

Confirmed, longest HR in Majors this year. No top spin on that one.

And Javy looks really good in the limited ABs I've seen him since he came back up.

I'll have to look more closely in his next AB, but Javy's stance looks a bit different.

Also, how about Addy Russell beating that INF grounder out? This guy reminds me a bit of Jeter in how he's just such a heady, all-purpose player.

Mets need to pick 5 pitchers to go 9 innings every time and leave them out there 'til there arms fall off.
