Seems like that AL lead is going to disappear after last night and today. Game was fine until Dickey left at least and maybe playing at noon won't help Baltimore any either. Hutch starting on the road is going to be rough, but it does realign the rotation to be Buehrle, Price, and Estrada this weekend and Price vs. Archer will hopefully turn out better than last time. Game 1 isn't until 10/8 so keeps him on regular rest. No way Kansas City goes 4-0 so we'll see. It'll be close.

Re: 9/14 - 10/4 Game Discussion Thread
The reason we can't have a best of three now is because of the amount of time it would take to split the games with travel and not give too many days off for the other teams.
It would be two back to back games at the home of the first wild card with MAYBE one day off between the end of that and the divisional series.
Also on the reseeding idea. I HATE it!!!!! Hate it!!! I like the seeding the way it is right now. It actually makes winning your division mean something as I said earlier. And I am all for that.Comment

Re: 9/14 - 10/4 Game Discussion Thread
Looks like AL title is in Royals hands now, despite Jays having the lead. Jays not starting Price again till playoffs. Stroman/Dickey aren't starting again either(since both pitched yesterday). Lineup today is basically the "Buffalo Blue Jays"(AAA lineup), and might be that way for multiple games to close out season.
Royals have to finish 2 games better than the Jays to win the AL(cause Jays win tiebreaker). So if they finish 4-0,they need Jays to be 2-2 or worse. Really just see it coming down to 1 game. Whoever wins the AL, wins it by a single game.
lol,Jays-O's game moved to 12pm today cause of bad weather conditions later on today in Baltimore. So what happens like 30 mins into the game....weather delay. The way this game is going, I wouldn't mind it just being cancelled. Hutchison is horrible on the road, and the AAA team isn't gonna do anything. Try playing in mud:

Ya. Thats part of reason jays playing AAA team today. Bad conditions to play in. And the delay knocked both SP out of game after 1,so would've been waste start for Price.
I hope 1-2 of tampa games feature regular lineupComment

Toronto will need to do something this weekend. The Royals are shooting themselves in the foot left and right the past month, but 2-2 is the worst I really see them going over the last 4 days.Comment

Re: 9/14 - 10/4 Game Discussion Thread
2-2 is the worst, but I do see them going 3-1 in that stretch. Which means Jays just have to go 2-2(2-1 after todays game). Really doable for sure. Probably having their MLB lineup playing Friday & Saturday. So those 2 should be wins. Sunday sounds like a bench day(Buehrle might get 2 starts in 3 days just so he gets 200IP since he's 8.2IP away from it)Comment

I just saw the Reds are on a 12 game losing streak. That is brutal.

Turns out the Red Sox almost acquired Giancarlo Stanton a few years ago, but Boston wouldn't trade. Xander Bogaerts, who the Marlins wanted.Comment

Yankees clinch playoff spot. Funnier thing is how they haven't made it in 2 years,so now some headlines are like "Yankees finally back in playoffs after 2 year absence".
lol,Jays-O's game infront of a crowd of "18,000+"

Re: 9/14 - 10/4 Game Discussion Thread
Interesting comparison with Trout vs. Bryce
With 2 strikes where the pitcher has leverage (0-2, 1-2 or 2-2),
Mike Trout @ .736 OPS (.413 SLG)
Bryce @ .890 OPS (.515 SLG)
...that's just incredible.
