I don't think the Pirates fans understood the Arrieta chanting thing. It sounds more like a rallying cry than a distraction.

It was what they were doing to Cueto in the wildcard game in 2013 when he dropped the ball on the mound.

Haven't heard the end of it since.

Yeah, but that was more of a "Rock Chalk Jayhawk" kind of chant. Slower tempo. This was your typical "Arr-I-E-Ta clap clap clapclapclap" which is more what you would do for someone you're rooting for.

Either way.. looks like it's done.

Hard to say. Wouldn't really surprise me either way. I don't think Almora will be ready next year, so they need someone to play CF until (if) he's ready.
