That throw should be added to Cole's pitch count. Good lord.

It was what they were doing to Cueto in the wildcard game in 2013 when he dropped the ball on the mound.

Haven't heard the end of it since.

Good thing TBS switched to the behind-the-catcher camera angle there...I was afraid I was actually going to be able to read the ball off of Russell's bat.

Much better inning from Cole, plus Arrieta leads off the next inning.

Yeah, but that was more of a "Rock Chalk Jayhawk" kind of chant. Slower tempo. This was your typical "Arr-I-E-Ta clap clap clapclapclap" which is more what you would do for someone you're rooting for.

Either way.. looks like it's done.

              Why hello there, high strike.

That wasn't even the "rulebook" strike, it was clearly high.

Jake is spotting his fastball really well so far. Hasn't even gone to the cutter much yet.

After I say that, he misses pretty badly with 2 straight, but gets a swing and miss

So, are the Cubs re-signing Fowler this offseason?

Did that land in the river on the fly?

Hard to say. Wouldn't really surprise me either way. I don't think Almora will be ready next year, so they need someone to play CF until (if) he's ready.
