2015 Wild Card Games Discussion Thread
Houston did a larger number than New York actually. I don't doubt the Yankees involvement helped bring in more viewers nationwide. They're still the Yankees after all.Comment

Re: 2015 Wild Card Games Discussion Thread
So Maddon is batting the pitcher 9th suddenly? I will believe that when I see it.
Odd having Schwarbs in RF and Bryant in LF, I would swap them since Bryant's the better defender with the better arm, but this must be specific to PNC's dimensions.
It is clear that offense is Maddon's main concern with both Schwarber and La Stella in there. Getting as many LHBs in there as possible and saving Coghlan for later.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

I read earlier that Cole has better splits against LHH than RHH, so I'm not sure loading up with lefties will help.Comment

Generated a 14.8 rating in the Houston, making it the highest-rated MLB game ever on ESPN in the market. It drew a 12.0 rating in New York, making it the highest-rated MLB game on ESPN in the market since 2012.
6 million people in the Houston area
19 million people in the N.Y. area
I'm terrible at math...but something tells me WAAAAAY more people in the N.Y. area watched the game than in the Houston area.
Houston did pull their weight though!

Re: 2015 Wild Card Games Discussion Thread
Jumping out on top in the first is wishing big, but the Cubs at least need to work the pitch count early on Cole. They've been very successful when they've been able to get the starter out by the 5th or 6th.
Here we go!Comment
