Never mind...just saw on ESPN it's Keuchel and Prof. Toru Tanaka.
I really do hope Houston wins...I'd be okay with a 10-year anniversary tribute and making the WS again. I think the Astros are going to have to get a lead early as their bullpen has been horrible since the start of September.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

This has been the most fun Cubs season of my lifetime. I hope it continues past Wednesday. The atmosphere at PNC is gonna be amazing.

I can't make heads or tails of the Cubs-Pirates matchup. Too many oddities can happen in 1 game. If Arrieta continues his dominance of everybody, he'll be quickly becoming a legend in Chicago.

My main concern is that some of Chicago's young studs (Bryant & Schwarber mainly) have been wearing down/slumping. Soler has probably even played his way out of the starting lineup. Look for an underdog like Coghlan or Montero to come through offensively and Addison Russell to make a ridiculous [good] play on defense. For the Pirates, their bullpen worries me with how the Cubs strike out with ducks on the pond.

Aside from wanting the Cubs to go all the way, I am really hoping we get a shot at taking St. Louis down.

Cubs-Pirates would have been a great 7-game series. I'm really looking forward to this game.

I don't have to do anything. I think it's stupid and will continue to acknowledge it as such.

And for your information, I hated and denigrated this format long before that incident so it doesn't really have anything to do with that. I also figured immediately when it was announced that it would probably harm the Braves at some point because it's so stupid.

Interesting enough (if you're interested, coming from an Astros fan)
Since I probably bet most people are counting out the Astros already...
                    • HOU won the regular season series 4-3 AND outscored NYY 36 to 17 in those seven games.
                    • Keuchel had two starts against the Yanks (1 home, 1 away) and won both.
                    • Tanaka only faced the 'Stros once (away in Houston), but gave up 3HR in that game.

I don't have high hopes for the Yanks in this one. Too many variables, first off you don't know which version of Tanaka you are getting and combine it with an anemic offense and you have the making of a quick exit.

I don't think he meant that you literally HAVE to. Just for sanity sake. But if you're not complaining, you're not posting, so I think we all know what's going to happen.

I actually think it's hilarious, so I hope it continues.

Being I'm curious Matrix, what system would you prefer? If it were you, what type of playoff format would you employ?

I get/understand the grief but these are great games to watch. The KC-OAK game last year was the best game in any sport I've watched in years.

As a fan of a team that is now in the 1 game and in format, I think it is ridiculous as well, but can appreciate it for the amount of drama it has brought.

As Speedy said, that KC-OAK game loses its luster if there were 4 or 5 more games to follow.

But doesn't mean I'm not going to be super pissed if we get bounced. But it's set up for a cinderella story. GO CUBS GO!!!!
