Wish there was a way the Cubs could pry Dee Gordon from Miami. Exactly what we need at the top of the lineup.

Would be much more excited about that than a gluttonous 6-7 year deal for David Price.

Just some David Price speculation, according to Jays beat reporter Shi Davidi he (Davidi) has had conversations with some baseball people. There are some that say Price will get crazy dollars but others are saying he'll get less than what Lester got this past offseason. If that's the case the Jays may have a shot at him by offering 25 mil over 7 years.

Both hit their free agency basically as 30 year old's lefties with strong track records of 200 innings plus seasons. Lester had rings, Price has a Cy Young. It is hard to see a scenario where Price gets less than the 6 years, 155 Lester got. That would be the baseline, that's the floor of what he gets.

I don't believe a word of it. I'm just relaying what David said on the radio last night.

Yep he is getting more than what Lester got last year. He has won a Cy Young already and probably will win his second this season. Lester has never won a Cy Young but has proven it in the playoffs. If he hadn't been a great playoff pitcher he wouldn't have gotten paid last year.

Uncle Dusty to the Nats. Sadly for them, this is actually a massive upgrade over what they had previously.

As others have stated, R.I.P. to Strasburg and Giolito's arms. Was nice knowing you.

Damn... Price potentially making $30M a year.... Almost as bad as Cano making $24M for the next 8 years...

He probably won't get that much but expect something like 8 years 200 or so.

Not happening. I mean you can never count out the Marlins do anything stupid, but Dee Gordon is one of the best fits for this ballpark/team possible
