Yea I saw something pop up on my phone from ESPN about this. The guy who wrote it was Dave Schofield, FWIW.

Also shocked by Wieters news especially because he is a Boras guy.

Well, 49ers were in the Super Bowl a couple of years ago. Braves haven't been to the World Series since 1999. The 49ers collapse has been breath taking.

They've gone downhill in a big way sure, but I'm sure there's many other fanbases in the league who would rather their team be the 49ers of the past 3 years, than their own team.

                No.

                Brett Anderson also accepts QO.

That shortens the game down for the Sawx for sure. It'll be interesting to see how Kimbrel does against a hard hitting division like the AL East.

According to Josh Norris, Assistant Editor for BA, multiple players going to Boston. And Margot and Logan Allen going to the Padres. And Jeff Passan also adds Carlos Asuaje to that list. Also hearing Javier Guerra is included in the deal.

Yea it will be interesting and it was a problem for us last year. Koji is 40/41 and has had highest workload ever in the last couple of years. So I love this trade.

                            Rosenthal deal so far:

                            Red Sox: Kimbrel

                            Pads: Margot; Guerra; Asauje; Allen

Guerra is a blow, but we need to make some moves. No more bottom of the barrel.

Margot is a huge blow as well. But makes sense, they were blocked by Betts and Bogaerts respectively. I'm hoping more is coming back to Boston though. Because that is a ton for a closer who had career lows in saves, K, and innings and a career high in ERA. And we are paying full price for him.

That seems like the haul. I feel we overpayed a decent amount for him. There was rumblings that there is more MLB talent coming back to Boston (no Tyson Ross) so we'll wait until its final.

Look on the bright side, I'm very sure Cincinnati asked for way more than that for Chapman.
