Honestly, I'm excited about this deal for the sole fact we got the ace we needed, and still managed to keep all of our prospects, and our pick. Is it an overpay? more than likely. But we're the Red Sox, and John Henry is our owner. This will not hurt us.
He'll just take money from Liverpool to spend. LOL.

You'd think with all the Tommy John concerns owners wouldn't throw this kind of crazy money around.

Best thing here is none the young core had to be moved to land an ace. Even if said ace comes with question marks.

Wait......... I thought it was a lock David Price was going to be a Cub? According to one Cub poster in here a while back.

Anyways congrats to the Red Sox. DD is wasting no time trying to put a team together.

Pretty happy the Cubs didn't pony up that kind of cash for Price. That deal is gonna make Arrieta expensive though.

I'm interested to see what comes out of the next two weeks. I'm expecting a sizable move from Theo and Co. for a frontline starter.

                      Trade Soler for pitching.

That's what the rumblings indicate. Wouldn't surprise me to see him, Baez, or Schwarber moved, along with some minor league pieces.

Why do you think Schwarber will be moved? I think there's zero chance at that happening. That would be a huge surprise to me.

Pass on both. Only Soler trade i would like to Consider is probably that Carracso one but that is likely not happening as he's soo good and Indians probably aren't moving him. I'd rather trade Baez than Soler tbh.
