You know, that stat came very quietly, and whenever I see him come up to bat, I don't really think of him as a HUGE strike out guy, either. I mean, yeah... you know what I'm sayin. I mean, his strike outs aren't really coming up as much as other players around the league right now. He's having a pretty good season in my book, yet, this stat won't help him for team leader.

I've always seen this guy as a Dave Kingman type player. He's got a 50/50 chance of striking out or hitting a HR. I guess Dunn has never really impressed me much. He's got tremendous power, but really needs to cut down on the K's to reach that next level. If he does, he's going to be something special to watch.

wow with all the other records, this one has really slipped under the radar. I remember we made such a big deal when Jose Henandez was coming clse to the strikeout record.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

Honestly, I couldn't see Dave Miley pulling the same stunt as a few years ago with Jose Hernandez and benching Dunn right before breaking the record. I'm glad he didn't. Dunner doesn't give a s**t. He's not the type of guy that would get all bent out of shape about it. Couldn't have happened to a better guy. I ran into him one night at a bar on my side of the Ohio River in Covington, KY. My best friend went up to him with his cell and told him that a naughty nurse wanted to talk to him. It happened to be my friend's wife, who was working the night shift at a local hospital. Dunn talked to her for about 5-10 minutes. Told her that she needed to come down to where we were and bring some friends. Had to be there. It was pretty funny. Anyway, don't expect the record to bother him that much. I enjoy watching him play.

                        I really enjoy Adam Dunn too. I think these numbers helped keep the record from becoming a big deal: <TABLE cellSpacing=2 cellPadding=0 width=126 border=0><TBODY><TR align=middle bgColor=#ecece4><TD class=bigstat width="33%" height=30>AVG
                        .264
                        </TD><TD class=bigstat width="33%">HR
                        45
                        </TD><TD class=bigstat width="33%">RBI
                        101
</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> Those are pretty good, the avg is a little low but 45 hrs and 101 rbi on not the greatest team is pretty impressive. His strikeouts may level off a little bit if he becomes a little disciplined as he ages. The man is only 24 and should be fun to watch for the next 11-15 years cause he can hit some moonshots.

.264 is pretty weak, its not just a "little low".

He's sixteen points off what I consider acceptable nowadays, but thats just my opinion.
